ABOUT US
Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate animals in need, mitigate human-animal conflict, and foster awareness about wildlife and environmental conservation within communities.
Founded in 2019, AWCS began as a passionate response to the suffering of animals caught in the chaos of urbanization, human-animal conflict, and environmental neglect. From tactical rescues in borewells and disaster zones to wildlife conservation efforts and community education, we’ve grown into an organization built on courage, compassion, and action.
Over the past years, we’ve seen animals in unimaginable distress—dogs stuck in plastic containers, birds tangled in manja threads, snakes trapped in concrete jungles. And yet, each situation has only strengthened our resolve. In 2024 alone, we rescued over 1,000 animals during the Vijayawada floods, building on our legacy of 500+ lives saved in the 2018 Kerala floods. Across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, we’ve rescued 12,000 Tactical rescues, 7,500 birds, and 1,100 wildlife rescues so far a testament to the power of belief and action.
Change is inevitable—but so is our commitment. As we look forward, we carry the stories of every animal we’ve saved and every person we’ve inspired. This isn’t just a mission—it’s a movement. And we’re just getting started.

Looking back, our growth has always stemmed from listening to animals, to the communities around us, and to the ever-changing needs of our environment. Whether it’s stepping into the ocean with fisherwomen to remove ghost nets through “Ocean Detangled,”, or launching the “Crush to Save” campaign to prevent plastic-related animal deaths, we’ve evolved with purpose.
Every shift in our journey has come from reflection—on what’s working, what’s not, and what’s urgently needed. We’ve learned that true animal protection goes beyond rescue—it’s about creating awareness, empowering people, and changing systems. We work at both grassroots and policy levels, bridging gaps between communities, governments, and the voiceless beings we serve.Today, with a dedicated team of rescuers, conservationists, and volunteers, we are building an ecosystem of compassion. One where humans and animals not only coexist—but thrive together.

Our efforts, fueled by community support and scientific approach, are changing the narrative proving that compassion, when put into action, can transform the world.
