Post Makara Sankranti our team assessed Kokapet where a major Kite festival is conducted every year. We conducted a cleanup drive as the whole area is covered in Manja (Nylon Thread) which is banned by National Green Tribunal. This is a non-biodegradable material that kills scores of birds each year. Our team could collect 300 Kilograms of Nylon thread from trees and landscapes.Later we carefully disposed of the material.
