Elephant Calf Rescue

Torrential rains have caused Kerala face the worst flood in history, killing over 400 people and countless animals. Govt of Kerala evacuated people from the flood-hit areas to safety. Many animal pets and stray got stranded in flooded areas. No food no water they waited desperately for help.

Animal Warriors Conservation Society reached Kerala to save as many animals as possible. This year we stationed at Nilambur region where a major landslide happened killing 56 people and many animals. Many tribal settlements in the forest region took massive hit forcing people to evacuated abandoned their pets and livestock. We provided food and freshwater to around 170 animals in flooded settlements. We helped Kerala Forest Department in rescuing an abandoned elephant calf.
