On the occasion of World Sparrow Day, Animal Warriors Conservation Society (AWCS)Celebrating world sparrow day, a leading animal welfare NGO in Hyderabad, took another meaningful step towards restoring urban biodiversity through our ongoing “Bring Back Sparrows” initiative.
Since 2016, this initiative has been dedicated to reviving the presence of sparrows—gentle birds that were once an inseparable part of our everyday lives. With rapid urbanization in cities like Hyderabad, sparrow populations have significantly declined, making urban biodiversity conservation more important than ever.
This year, in collaboration with 28 volunteers from JPMorgan Chase, along with our dedicated AWCS team, we conducted an impactful employee engagement activity in Hyderabad. Together, we built sparrow nest boxes to create safe spaces for sparrows to return, thrive, and coexist with us.
These activities are part of AWCS’s broader efforts to offer corporate volunteering opportunities in Hyderabad, enabling companies to actively participate in CSR activities, team engagement programs, and sustainability initiatives.
Each nest box stands as a symbol of care, responsibility, and environmental stewardship. Small actions like these contribute to long-term impact by supporting bird conservation in urban areas, enhancing biodiversity, and fostering a culture of compassion.
As one of the active NGOs in Hyderabad for corporate visits, CSR partnerships, and employee engagement programs, AWCS provides meaningful, hands-on experiences such as:
